The kind of lifestyle that most of us lead today is hectic and full of never ending deadlines that pressurise us. Today's work culture demands us to work overtime and more than our capacity. As a result, not only are we tired mentally, but our body loses its strength physically too. Emotionally and psychologically too we start to give up.
The result of all this very often starts showing under eyes as dark circles. It may be because you stay up late in the night, for work or for partying. Or it could also be because of you sitting in front of the computer for a very long time daily. At the same time, too much of stress and not eating a healthy diet too can contribute to the problem of bags under the eyes.
However, just because you have dark circles, it does not mean that it is the end of life for you. There are several home remedies that you can try out to reduce the puffiness and the dark circles below your eyes.
You can make a mixture of cucumber and potato juice and soak it in cotton balls to be placed over your eyes for some time daily. You might have noticed how salons and beauty parlours, or spas, often out cucumber slices on a person's eyes when a pack is left to dried off, or during a facial treatment. This is done because cucumber relaxes the eyes and helps to reduce the puffiness. You can do that at home as well.
Next, you can wet a tea bag and place it over your eyes. This is a very effective home remedy for getting rid of dark circles. Also, after the day's work, when you feel that your eyes are exhausted and you feel like having some rest, you can dip cotton balls in rose water and place them on your eyes for 30 minutes before sleeping for good sleep, and also for giving relief to your eyes.
A paste made out of pineapple juice and turmeric powder too can be applied on the area surrounding your eyes to get rid of the dark circles. Also, you can massage the area below your eyes with almond oil before you go to bed. The oil will definitely give you good results within a very short period of time.
Many people suggest that application of a mixture of lemon juice and tomato juice twice a day can also be useful for getting rid of the bags under the eyes. With this, you could also put mint leaves below your eyes for around 15 minutes daily.
Make sure that you are consuming proper food and are following a healthy diet. At the same time, get yourself good amount of sleep daily and ensure that you do not strain your eyes by sitting in front of the computer for long hours. If your job demands that you must sit in front of the computer for so long, then it is advisable to take breaks in between and also to use an eye safety shield on your screen.
